Obsolete wide ventricular paced QRS (>140ms) replaced by 'left bundle branch pacing,' ensuring QRS <120ms, minimizing heart failure risks.
Gone are the days when we used to have a wide ventricular paced QRS of >140ms. Wide QRS during V pacing can lead to pacing induced cardiomyopathy and heart failure. However, with the advent of conduction system pacing, the width of the paced QRS is invariably <120ms. Here is an example of pacemaker implantation with “left bundle branch pacing”.
